With his side eight points behind Beckenham Town, Whitstable Town’s player-manager Marc Seager admits tomorrow’s game at the Belmont will be a good way to see how far his side have progressed this season.

Seager, whose side are in third place, lost 6-2 at Eden Park Avenue on the opening day of the Kentish Observer League season, is looking for a better result this time around.

Speakng in an audio interview with www.whitstabletownfc.co.uk, Seager said: “When we played Beckenham in the first game of the season they gave us a football lesson.

“I want to show how far we have progressed as a football club and keep pressure on the teams above us until the last day of the season.

“Sure it’s a big game, every game is a big game if you want to be a successful football club.

“It’s my aim, the club’s aim and together I am sure we can move the club forward.”
