Chairman Mr Mason and the committee of the born-again Salters Lane outfit dreamed of bringing senior football back to Faversham from day one of their incredible revival way back in March, 2004.

But the many hours of hard work, grit and determination were rewarded at the Kent League's annual general meeting where member clubs officially welcomed new-look Faversham Town into the fold.

And on a great night for the Lilywhites, the Reserves were welcomed into Division Two of the Kent League after a unanimous vote.

Mr Mason said: "What a great achievement to get back into the Kent League at our first attempt. The club has come a long way in such a short time and the committee must give a big thank you to everyone who has been involved.

"That includes the players and management staff, the sponsors and everyone who has worked tirelessly at the ground to get it up to scratch. Last but not least I'd like to thank the supporters who were absolutely magnificent in our first season back as a football club.

"Let's hope with everybody's continued support this club can go from strength to strength and we can build a club the whole community will be proud of. "
