Wear Three Lions on Your Shirt

Monday 31st July 2006
The Thanet Referees’ Association is looking to recruit more male and female referees.

Referees perform a vital role in the game, and with the growth in the popularity of football, particularly for women and children, the demand for match officials is increasing. In conjunction with the Kent County Football Association (KCFA), the Thanet Referee’s Association will be holding a FA Referee training course starting on 4th September 2006.

The course is open to anyone over 14 years of age, runs over a 12 week period and is divided into two parts - ultimately leading to the FA Referee’s badge.

Former and current players are also asked to get involved.

Further details can be obtained from Rob Venn on 01843 834 005 or 07841 404 583 or email webmaster@thanet-ra.co.uk

However, if you’re reading this from outside Thanet, but would still like to take up refereeing please contact the KCFA on 01634 843 824 for details of your nearest course.
