Ward leaves Tonbridge for home comforts
Friday 24th March 2006
Tonbridge Angels’ player-boss Tony Dolby has allowed former Dulwich Hamlet player Danny Ward leave the club, and is expected to sign for Ryman League Division One rivals Kingstonian – as it’s closer to his home. “Danny felt the travelling to Tonbridge was taking its toll on work as well as home life and as a result would like to join Kingstonian, as it is much closer to where he lives,” Dolby told www.tonbridgeangels.co.uk
Dolby, who takes his side to Croydon Athletic tomorrow, added: “I understood his dilemma and decided that if a player does not want to be here for any reason then we would not want them here against their will, as it would affect them and his team mates.”
