Two in-two out for Angels

Thursday 09th March 2006
Darren Smith and Leroy Huggins have both been shown the door by Tonbridge Angels’ player-manager Tony Dolby as he continues to strengthen his squad.

Dolby has also signed his second player from their Ryman League Division One rivals Cray Wanderers this season, with attacking right-sided midfielder Drew Watkins joining striker Jon Main (who joined in January) at the Betterview Longmead Stadium club.

Central midfielder, Dean Smith, 23, spent three years playing in the reserves at West Ham United alongside Jermaine Defoe, before drifting into non-league football with Stevenage Borough and
Thurrock and signed for Team Bath whilst he studied at Bath University.

This double swoop has followed on the back of last Friday’s loan signing of Steve Sodje from Ryman Premier League side, Hampton & Richmond Borough, and the recent captures of Wade Falana (signed from Bromley) and Danny Ward (Dulwich Hamlet).

Meanwhile, the club's trip to Whyteleafe, which was postponed on Tuesday night due to a waterlogged pitch at Church Road, has been re-arranged for Tuesday, 28th March, 7:45pm.
