"The Crazy Gang" come to Fleet for Skinner's testimonial

Long serving Gravesend & Northfleet defender Justin Skinner will welcome a Wimbledon Crazy Gang squad for his testimonial game to Stonebridge Road on Bank Holiday Monday May 1st.

The match, with a 3pm kick off, will see the Wimbledon XI take on a past and present Fleet XI.

Skinner, who was an apprentice at Wimbledon and who made his league debut at Anfield in 1992, hopes the Dons line up will feature Efan Ekuku, Robbie Earle, Warren Barton, Scott Fitzgerald, Peter Fear, Neil Sullivan, Jason Euell, Chris Perry and current Gravesend assistant manager Alan Kimble.

Among the Fleet players invited to appear are members of their Ryman Premier winning side including Francis Duku, and Matt Lee plus Mark Bentley and the Fleet’s all time leading scorer Steve Portway.

Meanwhile, Gravesend & Northfleet’s reserves take on their Tonbridge Angels counterparts in the Kent Intermediate Cup Final on Thursday night. The match, at Stonebridge Road, kick’s off at 7:45pm.
