Syko Challenge details

Saturday 29th April 2006

www.kentishfootball.co.uk is delighted to announce that we have EXCLUSIVE rights to provide LIVE COVERAGE of Sunday’s SYKO CHALLENGE at Margate’s Hartsdown Park.

We shall be updating the website throughout Sunday from the PA hut at Margate’s ground (our laptop battery only lasts an hour!) - with details of the match and we aim to bring you some interviews in the next few days.

Gates open at 1pm with the SYKO “JUNIOR” CHALLENGE, which kick’s off at 1:30pm.

This is a challenge match between Margate and St Margarets under 13’s. Paul was part of the coaching team at St Margarets.

Then, following the introduction of the players and a “tribute to Syko,” the SYKO CHALLENGE kick’s off at 3pm.

At half time, there will be some surprise entertainment. The only information we have is it will involved a penalty spot and two groups of people with plenty to say for themselves….usually!

However, during the afternoon, you will also be able to bid on the items available in the auction.

You can bid on line at www.sykochallenge.margate-fc.com and you will also be able to place a bid during the afternoon - listen for announcements for details.

In addition, there will be a prize draw. You will be able to buy tickets up to half-time, with the draw made just after the final whistle.

The SYKO CHALLENGE team would like to acknowledge the support of:

The GSE Group

BBC Radio Kent

The Kent County Football Association

Sharp Printing Services

www.kentishfootball.co.uk

Hosts:
Margate Football Club

The Margate Ambulance Corps

Gillingham Football Club Independent Supporters Club

All the players and officials taking part

Entry to the SYKO CHALLENGE is £5 (adults), £1 (under 16s) with souvenir programmes available at £2 each.

If you are unable to attend, www.kentishfootball.co.uk will be providing EXCLUSIVE text coverage of the afternoon.

We urge all SUPPORTERS of KENT FOOTBALL to attend the biggest match of the season and pay tribute to the great man - Paul Sykes.

Rest in peace Paul.
