Stones unveil "substantial" sponsorship deal with Britelite Windows

Tuesday 15th August 2006

Maidstone United Football Club has signed a lucrative new sponsorship deal with Britelite Windows – a locally based window, doors and conservatory installer, which has its new headquarters on the Parkwood Industrial Estate in Maidstone.

The new deal, which will see the Stones sporting the Britelite Windows logo on their first team strip, is for a two-year period. The sponsorship is for an undisclosed amount, but both parties can confirm that the sums involved are substantial.

In announcing the new deal, Stones Chairman Paul Bowden-Brown told www.maidstoneunited.co.uk:  “Seeking any kind of sponsorship in the current climate is extremely difficult, but to secure one of this size and with a company such as Britelite Windows just shows the progress that the club has made in presenting itself as a credible marketing opportunity for those in the business community.”

John Baxter, the founder of Britelite Windows is a local man and has long supported Maidstone United both from the terraces, as well as a main sponsor in the past and welcomes the opportunity to become involved with the club.

He said: “We’ve been seeking a way to help promote our company through football once again and we identified that the qualities displayed by Maidstone United – particularly professionalism and ambition – sit perfectly with our business objectives.”

The deal comes at a perfect time for the club and is a major boost for their plans for this coming season’s campaign in the Ryman League Division One, which kicks off on Saturday 19th August with an away match at Hastings United.
