SNODLAND TOWN chairman Dave Jeal has begun the search for a new manager.

Joint-managers Simon Austin and Kane Rice have parted company with the club after guiding the club towards safety, in the bottom four of the Southern Counties East Football League First Division last season.

“Kane Rice and Simon Austin have left their position as Snodland Town FC managers,” said Jeal.

“We would like to thank Kane and Simon for turning our season around last year and we wish them all the best for the future.

“We hope to move quickly and appoint a new manager as soon as possible.”

In a statement, Rice said:  "It is with heavy hearts that myself and Simon resigned as the managers of Snodland Town FC.

“I would like to thank all involved behind the scenes at Snodland Town.

“The work you have done over the past four years to build the club is a great achievement and the ongoing work and plans you have to build the club is fantastic and I am confident you will succeed in your goals.

“I hope that our impact on the club in our short period with you has helped towards your targets.

“I would like to thank the players and staff that I have worked with at Snodland Town FC and wish you all the very best for whatever your future holds.

“We will be staying in post until the club find our replacement and will hand over in the best way possible.”

Austin and Rice were in charge of 21 games in all competitions and the pair celebrated winning seven games, they drew seven and lost seven.
