Rusthall light up Jockey Farm

Wednesday 06th January 2016

RUSTHALL celebrate the installation of their floodlights next month as the club meet the ground grading criteria to stay at Step Six.

The Kent Invicta League club are staging a game between teams managed by former managers John Ronaldson and Robbie Forbes at Jockey Farm, Nellington Road on Friday 19 February.

“These two have been the most successful managers the club has had in recent years and their teams will be made up of players from their period in charge,” said a club statement.

“The official turn on of the lights takes place at 7pm with the game kicking off at 8pm.

“Admission for the game is free and the club are trying to get hold of many former players as possible to invite to what is a huge milestone in the club’s progress.”

Rusthall are sitting in the bottom three in the Kent Invicta League table, having won three, drawn five and lost 12 of their league outings this season.

The Rustics are nine points clear of bottom side Lewisham Borough and are scheduled to travel to Ladywell Arena on Saturday (3pm).

Kent Invicta League clubs have until the end of the season to get the grounds up to scratch with the installation of floodlights, otherwise face demotion.

At the other end of the table, it has been confirmed that two clubs will win promotion into the league above as both the Southern Counties East Football League and Kent Invicta League merge with both divisions containing clubs that have the use of floodlights from next season.
