Rams play local side for ten-year-old road accident victim

Friday 24th November 2006
Ryman Premier League club Ramsgate have arranged a charity game against a local side on Monday night.

The charity match is being played for the Jessica Smith-Bellem memorial fund between Ramsgate and Thanet Sunday League division one side St Lukes at Southwood Stadium.

Jessica was the 10-year-old daughter of St Luke’s assistant manager Sam Bellem.

She was tragically killed in a road accident in Canterbury during September.

All proceeds from gate and raffle will go to the memorial fund.  The raffle prizes, to be held on the night, include a meal for 2 at Lesters, voucher for beauty salon in Westgate, champagne, large gorilla and a bottle of whisky.

Entry is by raffle and the game kick’s off at 7:45pm.

But before that the highflying Rams welcome Boreham Wood in a Ryman Premier League fixture tomorrow (3pm).
