RAMSGATE joint-managers Jim and Danny Ward have launched a new scheme to fund bringing in new talent to their first team squad.

The Friends of the Rams Scheme gives fans a chance to donate a minimum of £10 a month where members will receive additional benefits at the club, such as special offers as well as receiving the chance to win special prizes over the season.

A club statement said: “Like any club being self-sustainable is the utmost importance but as managers that is always new talent available that may not always fit the set budget.

“Jim and Danny Ward have come up with this scheme to enable the fans to contribute to a fund that will only be used for playing budget and allow them to build the team.”

Danny Ward told www.ramsgate-fc.co.uk: “This is a fantastic chance to help this young team along and hopefully put us on to the play-offs or better and achieve our aim of promotion this season.

Jim Ward added: “I have been asked more than once by supporters to get involved finically without being expensive. I feel £10 a month is a fair amount by as many fans as possible.  This would be a great way of keeping mainly young and local players together, which would be great for this club.”

The Ryman League Division One South club said prizes will include tickets to the boardroom on a match day, mascot packages and tickets to events.

To join the scheme please email commercial@ramsgate-fc.co.uk or call 07941 775479 for a standing order form.
