Promotion chasing Rustics appoint Langton as their new boss - EXCLUSIVE

British Energy Kent County League Premier Division side Rusthall, based near Tunbridge Wells, have appointed Hugo Langton as their new manager for next season, writes Stephen McCartney.

 

Langton, who currently manages Gillingham’s Ladies side, will be assisted by current joint-reserve team manager John Ronaldson and player/goalkeeping coach Damien Hopkins, who is currently with Kent League side Lordswood.  Langton, who is currently working towards his UEFA B License, has also coached in the Kent League at Thamesmead Town.

He replaces Robbie Forbes, who has decided to step down after five years at the helm.

Meanwhile, the first team are looking to strengthen their squad for next season and trialists will be welcome to attend their pre-season training sessions which start on 1st July at their ground at Nellington Road. And the club have now applied for planning permission to erect floodlights at their Jockey Farm Ground.

“This is the next step in our drive for promotion to the Kent League for this ambitious club,” said a club statement today.

Langton will be introudced to fans when the club welcome Snodland to Jockey Farm for their last home league game of the season on Saturday (3pm).
