Bromley part company with defender Dan Johnson while Dartford's Alfie Cue stays at Leatherhead for another three months

BROMLEY have parted company with former Maidstone United and Herne Bay defender Dan Johnson, 23.

Manager Neil Smith told www.bromleyfc.net: “I’d like to thank Dan for everything during his time with us, he’s always given me 100% and nothing less but I couldn’t guarantee him the regular first team football he needs and didn’t want to stand in his way of getting it. He’s a great lad and I wish him the best of luck.”

MAIDSTONE UNITED – who host Bromley in the Vanarama National League tomorrow – have completed the loan signing of Swiss forward Gold Omotayo, 24.

The big striker checks in from Sky Bet League Two side Bury on a 35-day loan period.

After coming through the ranks at FC Zurich, Omotayo secured a move to England with Whitehawk, then in the National League South.

He scored 11 goals in 16 games for the Hawks but it was not enough to lead them to safety, but it was enough to earn Gold a move to Bury in the summer of 2018.

He made eight appearances so far this season, with his one goal for the Shakers coming on his debut against Yeovil Town in August.

Harry Wheeler has also snapped up promising young goalkeeper Josh Strizovic from his former club, Billericay Town.

A product of Braintree Town’s youth system, Strizovic featured on the bench for the Iron as a 16-year-old before joining Burnham Ramblers in the Essex Senior League in the summer of 2017.

Aged just 17, he went on to play a full season in the first team for Burnham, winning the players’ and manager’s player of the year awards at the end of the season.

His impressive form for The Ramblers saw Wheeler bring him to Billericay in the 2018 close season, and the Stones boss has moved again to move the 6’3″ stopper to Maidstone.

Following Strizovic’s signing at the club, fellow goalkeeper Matt Funnell has been released.

Meanwhile, forward Jamar Loza has joined Vanarama National League South club Woking on a three-month loan deal.

Loza becomes the seventh player to leave the club on loan since the appointment of Wheeler, with the Jamaica international linking up with the club he scored a superb hat trick against back in March 2017.

Jamar has made 62 appearances in a Stones shirt since joining nearly two years ago, scoring ten goals, however he has made only one appearance under the new management team, coming on as a late substitute against Aldershot Town.

DARTFORD have extended the loan with Southend United for Amadou Ba for another month and he has been made available for selection for Dartford’s FA Cup Third Qualifying Round tie against their Vanarama National League South rivals Oxford City tomorrow.

Alife Cue has had his loan at Bostik Premier Division side Leatherhead extended for a further three months, where he will gain valuable experience and minutes.
