Lewisham Borough keep faith with boss Ben Kotey

LEWISHAM BOROUGH chairman Ray Simpson says he is keeping faith with his current management team for next season.

The Ladywell Arena outfit have been perennial strugglers in the Kent Invicta League and finished in last place, having won four and lost 26 of their league games during the season just finished.

The south-east London club finished five points adrift of the team immediately above them, Dartford-based Kent Football United, who appointed Roy Davies as their new manager last Saturday.

Davies was in charge of Kent County League side Metrogas for four successful seasons, guiding the New Eltham based club to two runners-up places in Division One West before claiming back-to-back Premier Division titles.

But Simpson has decided to keep faith with Ben Kotey (manager), Martin West (assistant) and coach Marco Black.

He said: “There had been numerous requests for the job but the board has decided against making any changes for the 2015-16 season.

“Thanks go to those who contacted me and any player queries should be sent to the club.”
