Lewisham Borough "trying to progress"

Wednesday 14th June 2006
After securing the British Energy Kent County League premier division title last season, Lewisham Borough are in the process of bringing off the field activities up to the same standard as those on the pitch, writes Stephen McCartney.

If the club do win the league again next season there will not be the disappointment of missing out on promotion due to non-footballing issues like the past season and as a result of these plans for work on their ground are already underway, with a bar and stand their main priority.

The club have also launched a new website
www.web-teams.co.uk/lewishamboroughfc as they try to raise the profile of the club and also provide up to date information to their supporters , players and opposition. A match day programme for all home games next season is also in the process of being produced.

“All these changes behind the scenes are a further indication of how this club are trying to progress and hopefully move on with the ultimate goal being promotion,” said a statement on their new website.

These changes are currently being implicated by a small team of dedicated players and backroom staff and is being financed through fund raising events the first of which will be the clubs end of season presentation evening being held at Tem Em Bee Sports ground on Friday 16th June 2006 at 7.30 PM when the team will receive the Kent County League Trophy and individual medals for last season.

For these reasons the club are actively seeking sponsorship for the new season with advertising at the ground in the form of pitch side boards, advertising in the match day programs and playing and training kit sponsorship just a few of the opportunities available.

Anyone interested in sponsoring the
Kent County League Champions should contact the club via e-mail at lewishamboroughfc@hotmail.co.uk
