Lawson replaces Wings' stalwart Green

Welling United boss Adrian Pennock has confirmed the new Welling United physio is Dave Lawson.

Lawson, who is hugely respected in the non-league game, has had spells at a number of clubs including Notts County, Billericay Town and Gravesend & Northfleet.

Lawson also left for the Gambia in 2003 with the world famous Middlesex Wanderers’ team as their physio, who went on a week-long tour of Africa.

He replaces stalwart Peter Green, whose recently decided to leave his post at Park View Road after FIVE DECADES of service.

A statement issued on www.wellingunited.com said: “Peter has been with the club for five decades and has given the Wings great service since joining just after our formation in 1963.”
