Goalkeeper Patrick Lee handed Kings Hill managers job
KINGS HILL have appointed Patrick Lee as their new manager.
Lee brings a wealth of experience to the Kent County League Premier Division club through his various roles at the Soccer Elite Football Academy and the goalkeeper has featured for Sittingbourne, Sevenoaks Town and Chatham Town during the past couple of years.
A club statement said: "Whilst still having plenty of years left as a player, he is keen to make the transition into management and sees the role with Kings Hill as a great opportunity to do so.
"We look forward to having Patch help shape our adult section over many years to come."
Chairman Barry Gethin added: "We are delighted to appoint Patch.
"Whilst his footballing CV doesn't necessarily reflect the profile of candidate we had originally thought would take the role, we were so impressed with him through the interview process that he became the stand-out choice amongst several strong applicants.
"The appointment is something of a change in direction for our first-team but one we feel fits perfectly with our development and the ethos of the club. We are excited to have Patch onboard."
Lee added: "I'm delighted to be given the opportunity to step into management from everyone at the club. I'm looking forward to getting started and can't wait for the season."
Kings Hill only played nine league games during the 2020-21 football season and were sitting at the summit after picking up seven league wins but the campaign was curtailed due to the cornavirus health pandemic.
