History

Valsport was first founded in Padova, Italy in 1920 from the dream of Mr. Antonio Valle and his passion for sport, and in particular football. His vision, determination and philosophy of using the finest materials available helped to establish Valsport as one of the leading manufacturers in the sporting industry in the competitive Italian market.

With his drive and purpose the brand continued to excel in its chosen field of football and overcame the adversities of the Second World War. Not content with the reputation and sales in their native country, Valsport achieved success in countries geographically and culturally different, such as the United States and the Far East.

Although other sports have been catered for under the Valsport name, football remained its strongest market. Many great players have worn the Valsport shoes and associated apparel over the past decades. Some examples of these are Jose Altafini, Fabio Capello, Giga Riva, Daniele Massaro, Roberto Baggio, Marco Simone and Roberto Di Matteo. Indeed in the 60’s and early 70’s Valsport became the official sponsors of boots, balls and bags to the teams of Juventus and AC Milan.

Over the following decades Valsport continued to provide the market with innovative concepts and designs, from the White Star model of boot (worn by Marco Simone in the European Cup final in 1996) and the ERA Collection, introduced at the 2000 Euro Championships in England and worn by Stefano Fiore (winner of the goal of the tournament).
