Tuesday 13th June 2006
Maidstone United have released a statement following their midfield star Nathan Paul was a victim of a “serious” knife attack at the weekend.

It read: “The club have unfortunately been made aware that Nathan Paul suffered a serious knife attack at the weekend.

”Although not life threatening, Nathan has undergone a second operation today on his injuries.

”The club are in contact with the family and are fully aware of the situation but will not be issuing a detailed statement until they are fully aware of all the facts.
“Both the Chairman and mangers Lloyd Hume and Alan Walker are being kept informed and Mario Celaire is with the family at the hospital.

“Obviously everyone at the club is devastated by the news particularly with Nathan so highly regarded both as a person and a player. The club is of course offering its full support to both Nathan and his family through this difficult time.”

Statements will only be released via the club on the official website www.maidstoneunited.co.uk
when the Ryman League Division One South club are made aware of the facts.

www.kentishfootball.co.uk would like to wish Nathan a speedy recovery.
