Jamie Leggett leaves Bexley Borough for a new challenge

Wednesday 14th May 2014
JAMIE LEGGETT has left the management team at Bexley Borough tonight.

The Thamesmead-based club finished in fourth-place in the Haart of Kent County League Division Two West with 43 points from 22 games, six points adrift of champions Phoenix Sports Reserves.

Leggett has followed in the footsteps of Nicky Southall (who resigned as the manager of Ryman League Division One South Whitstable Town late on 7 May 2013) by announcing his resignation on Twitter.

He said: “I like to officially say thank you to Bexley Borough and Liam Kelly for giving me a chance to manage and coach a great set of lads.

“And I would like to wish the club and whoever takes over the club all the best in keep it moving forward.

“I have to see where next season takes me and new challenges ahead.

“It’s a great club and wish it all the best for the future and hope they keep moving forward.”

Liam Kelly (who also owns the club) and Richard Dimmock remain in their management roles.
