It's not all White on the night - Latest Princes Park pics

Dartford’s 3-1 win at Tonbridge Angels in the third round of the Westview Cup in midweek came at a cost, according to manager Tony Burman today, writes Stephen McCartney.

Burman made five changes to the side to allow the players who have not been in the starting eleven “but are good enough to be”, get ninety minutes under their belts.

But full-back Danny White had a miserable night at the Betterview Longmead Stadium.

“I felt these players and the team were excellent and deserved their win on the night,” Burman told www.dartfordfootballclub.co.uk after beating the highflying Ryman Premier League side.

“One bit of bad news was that Danny White, who has been excellent for us this season, had his nose broken from a kick to the face in the last ten minutes.”

White also had a pain in his chest when he was running in the warm up on Tuesday from a knock last Saturday.

“Danny went to hospital after the game for a broken nose,” Burman said. “We also found out he had played ninety minutes of football with a cracked rib and will now be out for a few weeks.”

Burman’s side welcome basement boys Godalming Town, a side that thumped Ashford Town 3-0 last weekend to win their first game of the season, to Ship Lane on Saturday, before travelling to Tooting & Mitcham United’s Imperial Fields next Tuesday.

But Darts will remember the last side they played at home who to a side that were bottom of the table, losing 2-0 to Hastings United on September 9, in what was a poor performance by their standards.

“Even at the highest level be it tactics, formations or players just having off days results sometimes go against you,” warned Burman.

“The two performances against Hastings hurt me personally but we have moved on, and to their credit the players over the last few weeks have worked hard to get some very good results.”

With leaders Dover Athletic in FA Cup action, if Kingstonian beat second place side Fleet Town at Hampton & Richmond’s ground, and Dartford beat the G’s, Dartford will once again sit proudly at the summit of the Ryman League Division One South table.

Burman added: “I am not interested where our opponents are tomorrow in the league. I want the team to perform, I want the supporters to perform, but above all I want three points.”

Meanwhile, youngster Jamie Lawrence has been loaned out to Sussex County League first division side Rye United.

Mike Robbins’ side, in the bottom five and just four points clear of the foot of the table, have loaned the youngster, although he will remain on Ryman and Kent League forms.

Robbins, formerly of Ashford Town and Hythe Town, said today: “The deal suits all parties. He’s a very talented young player and should adapt well at Rye United.”

Here are some latest pictures of Dartford’s stunning £6.5m Princes Park Stadium, which as we all know opens for Horsham YMCA’s visit on 11 November.
