HOLMESDALE are delighted to announce the launch of their youth academy.

The Bromley-based Kent League club have launched an academy which will give
an opportunity to boys ages 16-18 to play full time football in the Ryman Youth and Conference Youth leagues combined with studying a 2 year Level 3 BTEC in Sport.

The course will be delivered by ProInfinity Coaching at their impressive Warren Sports (Hayes) venue, where all study and training is based for the course.

The BTEC is equivalent to 3 A levels, and gives all students entry level to University courses. In addition to the BTEC each student will complete their FA Level 1 coaching badge, to enable them to explore additional coaching opportunities.

Holmesdale’s first team manager Paul Proctor has been heavily involved in the launch of this scheme, and said: “I think this is an exciting time for Holmesdale FC  being able to offer this  facility alongside  ProInfinity and with our new youth system, gives a clear pathway from  junior football through to senior football, with excellent educational opportunities along the way.

“The club looks forward to supporting the academy and the development of players in to the senior squads.”

Jon Coppen, head of youth development and education at ProInfinity, has been tasked with management of the course.

He said: “We, at ProInfinity, are delighted to work with Paul and his fantastic team at Holmesdale FC to help deliver a playing pathway to support the future of the club.

“They are a forward thinking club looking to develop and progress young players though the Academy to reserve and first team football and play the game in the right way.

“Our focus is aligned that individual player development is key to our programme and we hope that the opportunity to play in the Ryman Youth, Conference Youth, along with the FA Youth cup will give young players a chance to experience a fantastic learning environment."

The course starts in September 2013, and trials are being held on Wednesday 10 April and Wednesday 29 May at the Warren Sports (Hayes).
