HERNE BAY have tonight unveiled their new three-man management team.

The Winch’s Field outfit have appointed Sam Denly as their new manager, along with head coach Neil Brown and assistant Gavin Theze.

Herne Bay finished their inaugural Ryman League Division One South campaign in the bottom four, having collected 10 wins and 13 draws from their 42 games, finishing six points clear of the sole relegation place.

Chairman Trevor Kennett, who parted company with Simon Halsey with only a couple of games remaining, issued a statement on the club’s website.

“I am very pleased that Sam, Neil and Gavin have agreed to lead our first team in our second season in the Ryman League,” he said.

“I am really excited about next season. Sam is a leader, a great communicator and a winner.

“Neil and Gavin are also winners and greatly experienced so in my mind it is a fantastic combination.

Denly added: “I am obviously delighted to be appointed as manager of such a great club.

“For me it is all about professionalism, discipline, hard work, passion and football being played in the right way and a group of players enjoying playing for the club and the passion of that shirt.”
