Hythe Town unveil Lewis Mingle signing

Tuesday 17th June 2014
HYTHE TOWN manager Tim Dixon has unveiled the arrival of defender Lewis Mingle from Tunbridge Wells.

Mingle, 24, has previously played for Maidstone United and Erith & Belvedere and was part of the Tunbridge Wells line-up that made it all the way to Wembley, losing 2-1 to Spennymoor Town in the 2013 FA Vase Final.

“Lewis was wanted by quite a few clubs, he is a highly-recommended, strong, left-full back and will be a welcome addition to the Cannons,” Dixon told www.hythetownfc.co.uk.

The Ryman League Division One South club have confirmed that Dan Eason, John Walker, Craig Cloke, James Morrish, Josh Burchell, Jamie Collado, Lee Winfield, Craig Thompson and Lee Pleau have all re-signed for next season.

Defender Laurence Harvey has re-joined the club from Whitstable Town, whilst defender Louis Sprosen has moved to Cray Wanderers, a side far closer to his home.

Former player Roy Guiver, 30, has taken charge of the club’s under 18 side and a club statement added: “Last week’s under 18 trials were very well attended. It is expected that several of Roy’s squad will also join-up with the seniors for pre-season training.

“Tim and his team have already started that they will be working much more closely with the Stars & Stripes Youth set-up, in particular the jointly run under 18s side.”
