Heineken buy-out forces Bulmers Cider to pull out of Kent League sponsorship

Wednesday 09th June 2010
The Kent League are looking for new sponsors after their partnership with Bulmers Cider came to an end this summer.

Bulmers had been title sponsors for the past couple of campaigns, but are no longer able to continue their partnership.

The League, however, are delighted to confirm that Blu3, Kent Soccer Company and Jacetts are continuing their support for the forthcoming season.

In a statement, Kent League chairman Denise Richmond said: “We’re sorry to lose Bulmers as they have been good to work with in the past couple of seasons and supported the League well.

“But the facts are that in the past 12 months, Scottish and Newcastle were bought out by Heineken and, coupled with the difficult economic climate, they were unable to continue.

“This is in no way a reflection on the League and the amount of business conducted between the two parties, but very much to do with the bigger picture.”

The Kent League are now actively looking for new sponsors and interested parties should contact Denise Richmond on 0208 378 5042.
