Head coach departs Tunbridge Wells

Tuesday 07th November 2006

Tunbridge Wells, bottom of the Kent League table with only two points from their first ten games, have been rocked with the news that their head coach Alan Burns has quit.

A statement issued by the Culverden Stadium club said: “In a huge blow for the club Alan Burns has resigned his position as head coach.

“At this time we are unable to bring news of any replacement but are truly grateful for all that Alan has done for the club.

“With Mike D'Arcy he produced a fine crop of reserve players last season, a number of who are now playing first team football.

“Player testimony bears tribute to his fine ability as a coach and motivator and he shall be missed.”
