GREENWICH BOROUGH begin the search for a new manager after parting company with Paul Barnes.

Barnes was in charge of the Eltham-based club for only 18 games and continued the excellent work that Gary Alexander had put in at the club.

The club finished their 46-match league campaign in fourth-place in the Bostik South Division table with 87 points and lost 3-0 at home to Corinthian-Casuals in the play-off semi-final.

“Thank you to Greenwich Borough and Perry Skinner for giving me the opportunity to start my managerial journey,” said Barnes.

“Let’s see where it takes me now. A new chapter begins.”

The club have yet issued a statement regarding Barnes’ shock departure, especially after he claimed 10 wins during his short tenure at Middle Park Avenue.
