Good Friday Family Fun at Folkestone

Wednesday 14th March 2007

Folkestone Invicta have today announced details of the Invicta Family Fun Day, writes Andy Bown & Tom Marchant.

The Invicta Family Fun Day is currently being organised by commercial manager Mike Pay and supported by director Jim Pallatt.

The Family Fun Day has been scheduled to take place on Good Friday, 6th April when Heybridge Swifts are the visitors to the Buzzlines Stadium for the Ryman Premier League encounter with the Seasiders.

“The idea behind the Invicta Family Fun Day is to encourage families to come along and enjoy the experience of a match day at the Buzzlines Stadium,” Mr Pay told www.folkestoneinvicta.co.uk .

“If the one on Good Friday proves to be a success I would certainly hope we could stage similar events at the ground. In the past I have been quite successful with ‘Ladies Days’, so there’s another possibility there as well”.

There will be a number of different events held on the day at the ground as he explained.

“Although all of these are subject to confirmation we are looking to do things such as a skill test ‘shoot 4 goal’ style, face painting, some on the pitch activity before the match and at half time and possibly an ‘Easter Egg Hunt’.

“Hopefully there will also be the opportunity for young fans to obtain autographs of some of their favourite players.”

Although Mr Pay is still working on the exact details for the event this week he also mentioned that there should be ‘goody bags’ for all the kids involved, and perhaps a spare one or two for any over eager adults!

Folkestone’s new Commercial Manager encouraged all families in the area to participate and expressed: “Come along and support your local team; it’s a good friendly atmosphere and you are close to the action and it is excellent value for money for a family”.
