FOLKESTONE INVICTA'S sixteen-year-old striker Euan Sahadow is having trials with League One club Charlton Athletic this week.

Manager Neil Cugley told www.folkestoneinvictafc.co.uk: “The success of our under 18s in The FA Youth Cup has brought Euan to their attention and there are a number of clubs watching him at the moment.

“Being a regular member of our squad in the Ryman Premier at 16 is no mean achievement of course, and he has the chance to impress this week.

“He didn’t score for the under 18s yesterday and came off after about an hour to keep him a bit fresh for going up there.”

Sahadow’s goals have been a key factor as the club’s under 18s have reached The FA Youth Cup First Round for the first time in 16 years’ that the club have got this far in the competition.

Meanwhile, Hythe Town marksman Alfie May has been on trial at League Two Stevenage today – with a second trial due on Thursday, although he will be available for the Cannons’ home Ryman League Division One South clash against South Park tomorrow night.

“Along with Stevenage’s interest, we also have two other teams keen to take a look at the striker, who has already scored 14 goals this season,” added a Hythe Town statement, posted on www.hythetownfc.co.uk.
