The names of the life members were lost when the club folded under the previous administration but secretary Alan Trent is now compiling a new list.

He said: "The club is moving forward at some speed but the annual meeting gives us a great opportunity to recognise the many local heroes from the club's past so if anyone has any information about existing life members I would be glad to hear from them."

Membership renewal forms have been sent out in advance of the annual meeting while new members can join by downloading a form from the club's website at www.favershamtownfc.co.uk

Meanwhile, the club want you to join a winning team by taking a part-time job at Salters Lane next season.

Chief executive John Webb revealed that the Lilywhites had a number of paid opportunities on offer to the right candidates as the club gears up for a first season in the Kent League.

He said: "Promotion has brought about re-structuring both on and off the pitch and we now feel it necessary to increase the workforce at the football club.

"We want to be as professional as possible next season and no longer feel it right to rely on the goodwill of volunteers. Therefore we would like to invite applications for posts including car park attendants, turnstile workers, cleaners, bar staff and programme sellers among others."

For more information call John on 07812 391307.

And youth team boss Ray Turner and his exciting young team are enjoying the summer holidays - on the training ground at Salters Lane.

There has been no let up for the born-again club's newest team with Tuesday night sessions continuing throughout June and July and Ray could not be happier.

He said: "The lads have been brilliant. No one seems to mind that we haven't had a break. They are all so keen to get started - the new  season cannot come soon enough for these boys.

"We average around 20 players per session and that's more than enough although I'm always happy to see new faces. It's open house  here so any under-18s who would like to come along are very welcome."

Youth team training continues from 6.30pm-9pm every Tuesday at  Salters Lane. For more details call Ray on 07725 857696.
