Dulwich Hamlet retain Nyren Clunis: Nyren has been the mainstay of the club’s rise from mid-table in the Isthmian League South to The National League South and already enjoys cult status with the fans

DULWICH HAMLET manager Gavin Rose has retained the services of Preston Edwards, Nyren Clunis, Aryan Tajbakhsh and Quade Taylor.

 

Current player-of-the-year, 29-year-old goalkeeper Edwards has signed a new one-year deal to stay at Champion Hill.

The Cheshunt based keeper Tweeted: “Delighted to sign on for another year at Dulwich Hamlet.  Looking forward to season number five with the club.”

One club man Clunis has also agreed a further 12-month contact that will see him complete 10 seasons with the club.

“Nyren has been the mainstay of the club’s rise from mid-table in the Isthmian League South to The National League South and already enjoys cult status with the fans,” said a club statement.

“Nearing 450 games and with over 100 goals, Nyren is looking to add to both next season.”

Taylor, 25, a versatile defender or midfielder, has agreed a further one-year deal, while former Maidstone United midfielder Tajbakhsh, 28, has also put pen to paper on a new contract.

“The club are still in negotiation with a number of players both new and from last years’ squad,” added the statement.

Dulwich Hamlet open their pre-season campaign with a home game against Colchester United on Tuesday 9 July 2019 (19:30).
