Dulwich Hamlet terminate Hakan Hayrettin's contract following home defeat to bottom-of-the-table side Bognor Regis Town and one league win in their last 11 outings
DULWICH HAMLET have taken the decision to terminate the contract of manager Hakan Hayrettin and his management team with immediate effect.
The Champion Hill outfit are sitting in fifteenth-place in the Isthmian League Premier Division table, having picked up 29 points (eight wins, five draws and 12 defeats) from their 25 games.
Dulwich Hamlet are 12 points adrift of the play-offs and only six clear of the relegation zone and suffered a 4-3 home defeat to bottom-of-the-table side Bognor Regis Town at the weekend, which was the side’s third league defeat on the bounce and the club have acted having picked up just one win in their last 11 league outings.
Hayrettin, 54, was appointed Dulwich Hamlet manager on 2 March 2023, having previously managed Waltham Forest, Thurrock, Grays Athletic, Braintree Town and Maidstone United, guiding the Stones to the National League South title during the 2021-22 campaign.
“A further statement will be issued in due course but we would like to thank Hak and his team for the service to the club and wish them success in the future,” said the club.
The Hamlet welcome Andy Drury’s Folkestone Invicta to Champion Hill on Saturday (15:00).
Drury issued an apology to supporters after his Folkestone Invicta side suffered a humiliating 4-0 home defeat to Cheshunt tonight.
