DULWICH HAMLET striker Reise Allassani says recovering from a long-term injury has been hardest task of his career so far.

The 21-year-old has scored 13 goals in his comeback season and has helped Gavin Rose’s side climb to second-place in the Bostik Premier Division.

“2017 has been the hardest and most defining year of my life,” Allassani posted on his Twitter account.

“Recovering from my ACL injury was challenging yet in the end very rewarding as I pushed my body to limits I’d never pushed it to before and also learnt more about myself than I never knew before.

“Also, to be able to play football again and enjoy it more than ever is a blessing”.

The former Crystal Palace player added, “Thanks to everyone that’s supported me this year.”
