Dover striker opts for "taking intensive physio" but declines operation

Monday 12th June 2006
Prolific Dover Athletic striker James Dryden has decided not to go ahead with an operation to repair ligament damage to his right knee.

A statement issued on www.doverathletic.com said: “The club and specialists recommended that the striker have an operation - but Jimmy has opted for the alternative option of taking intensive physio.

”Jimmy had to make a hard decision and the club respects it.

”Dover Athletic will now pull out all the stops to ensure Jimmy gets the best possible medical care - and respect his decision, which we know was not an easy one to make.”

Meanwhile, Daniel Braithwaite is seeing a specialist this week to get an update about his knee injury.
