Dover Chase promotion

Yeading striker Chris Chase has joined Dover Athletic until the end of the season, writes Justin Allen – www.doverathletic.com

With former Folkestone Invicta striker James Dryden struggling to find any kind of fitness, the club needed to act quickly to add some firepower.

Chase has been on the books of the Nationwide Conference South club this season but has not been getting into their side.

So boss Clive Walker decided he would give Whites another option in attack. Chase is a former Watford trainee and was in their recent successful FA Youth Cup side. He spent four years at Vicarage Road.

Chairman Jim Parmenter, whose club travel to Newport IOW tomorrow, said: "We're in the market for another player in another position and we're currently working on that deal. Hopefully, fingers crossed, we'll hear something later today."
