DOVER ATHLETIC have announced that they have released seven of their out-of-contract players.

The Vanarama National League club have 15 players under contract next season.

Joe Bedford, Kurtis Cumberbatch, Will De Havilland, Oscar Gobern, Bilel Hinchiri, Nassim L’Ghoul, Yusif Mersin, Jack Munns, Josh Passley, Steven Rigg, Paul Rooney, Bobby-Joe Taylor, Michael Woods, Lee Worgan and Marshall Wratten are staying at Crabble.

However, the club has announced that Inih Effiong, Anthony Jeffrey, Kevin Lokko, Ricky Modeste, Jai Reason, Aaron Simpson and Ade Yusuff are now free to find new clubs to play for next season.

Meanwhile, three players who were on loan from EFL clubs, Ashley Maynard-Brewer (Charlton Athletic), Shadrach Ogie (Leyton Orient) and Dominic Poleon (Newport County) have all returned to their parent clubs.

“We would like to thank each and every one of our departing players for their efforts on behalf of the club and extend our sincere best wishes for the future,” said a club statement.

Andy Hessenthaler’s side were sitting in 12th place in the table at the time of the coronavirus health pandemic struck in March, bringing football in this country to a halt.
