Deal's reserves relish training sessions

Monday 09th January 2006
With his side at the bottom of the Kentish Observer League table with just seven points from their first 11 games, Deal Town's reserve team manager Sean Bennett is pleased with the turn out of players for training sessions.

He told the club's website:  "The attitude and work rate of my squad has been fantastic.

"I don't know many other teams who would be bottom and still be getting 20 players at training most weeks.  We need to stick together and dig out results.

"The frustrating thing is we are losing by one goal every time and that isn't good enough, but our football has been improving and we are creating chances.  But we need to take those chances.

"It is now vital that we try to get some points on the table and this month is the most important point of the season for us."
