Daish bolsters his squad with loan signing Hearn
EBBSFLEET UNITED have bolstered their squad with the signing of midfielder Charley Hearn, 24, from their Blue Square Premier rivals Grays Athletic.
Hearn, on loan until the end of the season but cup-tied for the FA Carlsberg Trophy, has made 15 appearances for the Essex side this season, scoring two goals.
Head coach Liam Daish told www.ebbsfleetunited.co.uk: “Charley is a creative player and will bring a new dimension to the midfield. This will help strengthen our squad for the run in to the end of the season.”
The Ashford-born player began his career at Millwall in 2001 and graduated into the first team, making his league debut against Walsall that same year and going on to rack up 24 appearances.
He had a spell at Northampton Town on loan in 2004-05 making 28 appearances and scoring once before signing for Hendon and then Fisher Athletic in 2006 following his release by Millwall.
Highly-regarded in Blue Square South, he departed Fisher following the club’s financial troubles and signed for Grays Athletic in June 2007. He also spent four weeks at Lewes on loan in February 2008.
Hearn did not feature in either league game against the Fleet over Christmas because of a foot injury, which also curtailed his appearances at Blue Square South Lewes.
