Cray Valley move into fourth place

Cray Valley (PM) moved up to fourth in the British Energy Kent County League Premier Division after a 2-1 home win over Lewisham Borough on Saturday, writes Mark Wyver.

The home side netted through Mark Dolby and Phil Eagle with Steve Strotten replying for last years champions.

Hollands & Blair defeated bottom of the table Crockenhill 3-1 away from home. Marc Chapman, Cliff Eldridge and Lee Preston were on target for the Gillingham based side while for the basement boys M.Filkins netted.

New Romney took over at the top of Division One East after a 2-1 home win over Betteshanger Welfare.

The new league leaders were indebted to Lee Kingsbury and Dave Pattenden in securing the three points.

Westerham lost a chance to move to within a point of leaders after goals from G.Cunningham and S.Cuthbert saw Phoenix Sports win 2-0.

Bridon Ropes overcame bottom side Fleetdown United 5-2. On target for the South Londoners were J.Cross, S.Martin, B.Northover, L.Wilton and an own goal.

Two goals from S.Williams and a single from J.Jeffries saw Samuel Montague YC defeat Belvedere 3-1.
