Chatham unveil double signing

Friday 10th March 2006
Chatham Town go into their match at Corby Town tomorrow boosted by a double signing made by manager Steve Binks.Simon Austin has rejoined the club from Maidstone United, while Chats have also snapped up midfielder Darren Smith from Tonbridge Angels.

The pair fill the void left by the departures of top scorer Brendan Cass and Glenn Billiness to
Dartford. Both will make their debuts tomorrow.

While welcoming the pair, Binks is resigned to losing experienced defender Dan Larkin for the rest of the season with a broken foot.

Andy Larkin is also out of contention on Saturday owing to work commitments, while striker Rob Denness is ruled out by a calf injury sustained in last week’s 2-0 defeat of leaders Boreham Wood.
