Chatham Town unveil new goalkeeper signing
CHATHAM TOWN boss Steve Binks has signed giant goalkeeper James Tedder from Kent League side VCD Athletic, writes Stephen McCartney.
The six foot seven goalkeeper is expected to become first team goalkeeper at Maidstone Road, replacing Slovakian Miroslav Oravec.
“James is the younger brother of Chris and was playing for VCD Athletic last season in the Kent League,” Binks told www.chathamtownfc.net.
“James, at six foot seven, is a great acquisition and has built up a reputation as the best keeper in the Kent League.
“I am delighted to have signed him and would like to welcome him to the club.”
Binks also revealed that Ross Finn, Dave Botterill and Mike Dodsworth have re-signed for next season, one that will see the Medway club play in the Ryman League Division One North in August.
They join Dan Ellis, Tom Binks, Steve Best, Dan Larkin, Mark Brooks, Matt Solly, Dominic Elmes, Darren Smith, Steve Hafner, Louis Valencia and James Smith, who sealed their futures with the Maidstone Road club last week.
“Hopefully there will also be some more news on further signings soon,” added Binks.
