CHATHAM TOWN begin the search for a new manager after Kevin Horlock left the club to return to Needham Market.

Needham Market have appointed Horlock as their new assistant manager after the Suffolk outfit narrowly avoided relegation from the Ryman Premier League.

“Kevin Horlock has decided to leave Chatham Town FC to pursue his international and domestic coaching posts,” said a club statement.

“Since joining the Chats as manager in November 2015 he has searched for a stable squad which in the last few games was beginning to show some progress.

“We wish Kevin well going forward and thank him for his time with us.

“The board are now looking for a new manager to take the helm for the 2016-2017 season.”

Chatham Town finished their Ryman League Division One South campaign in nineteenth-place (bottom six), having won 13, drawing 7 and losing 26 games.

The club finished a comfortable 16 points clear of the relegation zone, which is occupied by Walton & Hersham, Whitstable Town and Peacehaven & Telscombe.
