Wednesday 14th November 2007

Bromley manager Mark Goldberg took the opportunity to involve two new members of his first-team squad during their 2-1 win at Maidenhead United.

Theo Davis signed for the Blue Square South club earlier this month having played for Aldershot Town's second string this season.

The left-sided player has also appeared for Chelmsford City.

Luke I'Anson has been training with the club for several weeks whilst international clearance was being obtained. The central midfielder was playing in Spain last season before returning to this country in the summer.

Also in the away dugout at York Road was Alan Reeves. The former Rochdale, Wimbledon and Swindon Town defender has recently joined the club's coaching staff.

Reeves had been assistant manager at Swindon Town before moving on to fill a similar position at Brentford.

Welling United won 2-1 against Fisher Athletic in the Setanta Shield Second Round at Park View Road on Tuesday night.

A last minute goal from Omari Coleman secured the Wings' passage into the next round to face Bromley.

Earlier Sam Keevil had given Welling the lead before Wesley Thomas equalised for the Fish.

Welling United travel to Bromley in the third round on Tuesday 4th December.

Meanwhile, the Wings travel to Ryman Premier League side Margate in the first round of the Kent Senior Cup on Tuesday 11th December.

In other news, Tony Sinclair looks set to be out until March after he suffered a dislocated knee cap against Dorchester Town on Saturday.

Robbie Ryan will be out for two weeks with an injured hamstring.
