Borough improve their public relations - EXCLUSIVE

Wednesday 12th April 2006
Kentish Observer League club Greenwich Borough are pleased to announce the appointment of Barry Feist as their new press officer, writes Stephen McCartney.

The Eltham resident will be taking up the position officially next month and along with the press officer role will also be taking on programme editor and website administrator duties as well.

Feist, currently with Slade Green, has informed the Small Glen club that he will be leaving the club at the end of this season and will be producing his final match day programme for the club when they play Lordswood on the 22nd April.

The news is obviously disappointing for Slade Green following the decisions by joint-managers Terry Malin and Phil Miles to leave the club at the end of this season.

“It has been an exciting season with lot’s of up’s and down’s and I have to thank everyone at Slade Green for giving me the opportunity to work at Kent League level,” said Feist who was previously at Kent County League outfit Cray Valley.

”I will miss working with everyone at the club.  They are a great bunch of people.”
Feist will also be actively involved in the coaching side at Harrow Meadow and will be looking to complete levels one and two during next season.

“Greenwich Borough are willing to help me develop in other areas, which has been an ambition of mine for many years.”

“Feist added: “They have some big ambitions for the future and I hope to play an integral part in that.”

Greenwich Borough, who were one of those clubs that kept themselves to themselves with regards to public relations, will be releasing a full press statement of next season’s intentions within the next month.

Details will also be posted on their first official website, which is to be launched on June 1st.  The club will announce the website address soon.

Back on the pitch, Greenwich Borough have three games left to play this season.

They are currently fourth from bottom in the table on 18 points and travel to Erith Town on Good Friday (1pm).

The Dockers are one place and just one point below them in the table.

Then Borough travel to Whitstable Town on Easter Monday before finishing their campaign with a home game against Jason Lillis’ Herne Bay on 22th April.  Both games kick off at 3pm.
