Ashford Town unveil new signings

Wednesday 04th July 2007

Ashford Town boss Clive Walker has made a couple more signings as he prepares for his first season in charge at The Homelands, writes Stephen McCartney.

The former Dover Athletic manager has swooped to sign left-back Daniel Braithwaite from his former club, whilst striker Adrian Stone returns to the club from Bromley.

“I’ve just got back with the signed contract of probably the best left-sided player in our league,” owner Don Crobie said of Braithwaite on his forum notes on www.ashfordtownfc.co.uk.

“Tim Thorogood (the club’s director of football), has also informed me that Adrian Stone has now agreed to join us, which is great news.”

On Braithwaite, Walker added: “I wanted a left-sided player, and he’s ideal for us to be honest.”

And he believes Stone, who broke his leg last season, will “be a handful at this level.”

The club are set to unveil their next signing within the next 24 hours.
