We can't afford to let points slip by us now because of the gap with Hollands & Blair, says Ashford United boss Danny Lye

Friday 04th December 2015

ASHFORD UNITED manager Danny Lye says he wants his side to continue their unbeaten run against Fisher tomorrow.

Lye’s side are in third place in the Southern Counties East Football League table, eight points adrift of league leaders Hollands & Blair.

They go into the home game against fourth-from-bottom Fisher on an impressive ten game unbeaten run.

“Team spirit is everything in sport and we have that in abundance,” said Lye, ahead of the Homelands clash.

“The boys are confident and are all playing well at the minute so we go into the game wanting another three points.

“We can’t afford to let points slip by us now because of the gap with Hollands & Blair so the boys know what needs to be done.

“Fisher will be a tough game as they have not been losing by many and have been unlucky in games so they will want to come and prove a point that they don’t deserve to be down the bottom.

“We have been unbeaten for two months now and want that to continue so we’ll go out to win, win, win”.
