CORINTHIAN have received some information about their much-delayed FA Vase Semi-Final date with Hebburn Town.

The two sides were due to play the First Leg at Gay Dawn Farm on Saturday 21 March 2020 with the make-or-break Second Leg in the North East seven days later.

However, both games were postponed by the governing body due to the coronavirus health pandemic, which forced The FA to declare all Leagues from Step Three downwards null and void with records expunged.

The Football Association issued a statement this afternoon regarding The FA Trophy and The FA Vase Semi-Finals, which will be welcomed for the eight competing clubs.

“With regards to the 2019-20 Trophy and Vase campaign, which remain at the Semi-Final stage, we are currently exploring options with the relevant parties as we are still seeking to complete the competitions, providing it is feasible to do so.”

The FA Cup Final was played behind closed doors at Wembley Stadium on Saturday with Arsenal claiming a 2-1 win over Chelsea to clinch the silverware for a record fourteenth time.

The Premier League and Championship campaigns was concluded on the pitch, with Championship, League One and League Two play-offs reaching a climax.

Play-offs in the National League, National League North and South were played to a finish with Harrogate Town, Altrincham and Weymouth winning promotion through this method.

Michael Golding’s Corinthian were sitting in second-place in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table and were involved in an exciting five-horse title race but  League's from Step Three downwards were not allowed to finish.

Today, The Football Association released details of which sides will play in their competitions during the 2020-21 campaign, round dates and prize money.

However, those waiting for details on who they will be playing will have to wait until The Football Association release all of their early-roundx draws on Tuesday 18 August 2020.

They did, however, confirm that there will be 612 clubs competing in The FA Vase this coming season.

Lewisham Borough (Community) have received the news that they have been accepted into the competition.

Their Southern Counties East Football League First Division rivals Kennington and Stansfeld, based in Ashford and Chislehurst respectively, have been accepted in to The FA Cup for the first time in their history and their Extra Preliminary Round ties will be taking place on Tuesday 1 September 2020.

Another league rival, Sutton Athletic, will also be taking part in The FA Cup this season.

Half of the six qualifying rounds will be played on Tuesday nights for the first time this season to ease the fixture congestion.

The FA said: “In order to assist in easing pressure on the football schedule, there will be no replays for the 2020-21 season in the qualifying competition.  The schedule for the competition proper will be released in due course.

“After two seasons of record levels of prize funds, the Emirates FA Cup prize fund has returned back in line with 2017-18 levels due to the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

There will be 293 clubs taking part in The FA Trophy this season, with the First Qualifying Round kicking off on Saturday 26 September 2020.
