Wakeling hands Smith more responsibilities |
BROMLEY'S
management team will be performing a match-day switch next season, writes
Neil McKeown. Billy Smith and George Wakeling will still be joint bosses, but Smith will be taking more control during games. The duo have made a real success of one of the trickiest roles in football - the management double act - and Wakeling is confident not too much will change in the future as he steps to one side on match days. He told the Bromley Times Newspaper: "We're going to turn the tables round this year. "When you're joint managers there has to be someone who makes the final decisions on substitutions or the team itself. "I did that last season so we're reversing it this time - Billy will have the final say. "I've got promotion at work and Billy gives so much time to the team so this seems sensible, and anyway, Billy may give it back to me next year." |
