Huggins:  I left Gravesend on good terms
Leroy Huggins has revealed he left Nationwide Conference outfit Gravesend & Northfleet on good terms, writes Stephen McCartney.

The twenty-seven year old striker scored his first goal for his new club Bromley, in last Saturday's 1-1 draw at Ashford Town in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round.

Bromley went on to win the replay 1-0 at Hayes Lane on Tuesday evening with the winning strike coming from midfielder Joe Wade with nine minutes left on the clock.

Huggins said:  "Full credit to Gravesend & Northfleet, I left on my own accord and I wasn't bombed out.  My style of play wasn't going to fit into their team, so obviously I did what was the best decision for me and moved on.

"I left Gravesend on good terms and it was my decision to leave the club."

A former Fisher Athletic striker, the Docklands club tried to re-sign Huggins before he signed for Stuart McIntyre at Bromley.

Huggins revealed:  "I spoke to Fisher Athletic but I had other options as well.  I spoke to Bromley manager Stuart McIntyre at the beginning of pre-season and he told me about the club and where the club wanted to go and his plans sounded
good.  I've come down to see what the club was all about and liked the other players attitudes.  I hope I can do well for Bromley."

Speaking about Saturday's FA Cup 1-1 draw at Ashford, Huggins said: "I think we did well at Ashford, and when we were 1-0 down we didn't dip our heads.  We kept battling on and we obviously scored a goal and got stronger from there.  The
last thirty minutes was probably our best time in the game."
